Samba

Samba is a type of popular dance music with infectious rhythms. These rhythms are driven by a large percussion section and it's syncopated rhythms. It developed as urban music in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in the favelas (slums) of Rio de Janeiro
Samba music has part of its roots found in the culture and traditions of African slaves brought over to Brazil during the slave trade.
The dancing is often done in a group and can be heard at Carnivals and Street Parties.
